  My first memories of visiting the Lake District were as a ten year old boy travelling up from London on a family holiday in a car full of dogs and sisters. This was the first time I had really seen lakes in England and I was staggered to find them on my very own doorstep.

I've always had a soft spot for the Lakes and love coming back whether for work or for pleasure, as there is such diveristy. It's not just about the romantic landscape of lakes, mountains and coast, there is also an unrivalled choice of things to see and do.

I'm always looking forward to my next visit and whether you have been before or are coming for the first time, you can't help falling in love with
